NM: south/east end of NM 528?

TM currently shows NM 528 ending at 2nd Street (former NM 47). However, it appears to extend east to I-25 per signage in several places. NM 528 is maintained on street blades east of 2nd Street (example here) and is signed from the I-25 exit (GSV here).

Granted this is NM which doesn't seem to give much of a crap about signage, but NM has been fairly proactive in greening out removed highway designations. As an example, at the aforementioned Alameda/2nd St intersection, the NM 47 shields on 2nd were greened out before being replaced, and the NM 345 signage on I-40 was greened out when the 345 designation was decommissioned.

I remember raising this on the AARoads forum, as I was preparing to activate usanm. The reaction from people from the region was about how much of a joke is route signage in New Mexico. That's consistent with my own experiences in other parts of New Mexico. That is probably the state where route signage is most worthless.

My research in 2011 State Transportation Commission minutes found some confusion about where NM 528 went west of former NM 47, but its segment east of former NM 47 clearly was officially removed from the state highway system.

If this makes a difference, NMDOT GIS places the end of the route at I-25. In other cases, we have used GIS to determine one way or the other if signage is conflicting.

As have I. But here, I think the STC minutes carry more weight than either signage or GIS.
