Portugal: Sines
« on: April 30, 2017, 01:07:08 pm »
Some notes about routes near Sines:

1. A26-1 ends at exit 3. The rest is signed R261-5 on signs and kilometer posts (left lane on R261-5 is temporarily closed). OSM and GM are wrong.
2. IC4 is perfectly signed IP8. There's only one IC4 sign at the roundabout with N120-5 to N120-5 eastwards but there are no additional IC4 signs till Provenca. Only N120-5. Btw: N120-5 is indicated A26-1/N120-1 on GM and N120-1 on OSM. Both are wrong.
3. The currently drafted IP8Sin is not signed. OSM seems to be right.
4. IP8 is not signed on concurrency with IC33 and it's not signed at the IC1/IC33 interchange towards IC1. I guess IP8 already ends at A2 or IC1_S wp but I have no evidence for this segment. Maybe I should go there tomorrow again...

1.-3.:

Looks fine: https://github.com/TravelMapping/HighwayData/pull/1228 :)

IC1 wp IP8_W should be renamed to IC33. IC33 wp IP8_E should be renamed to IC1.

4. IP8 is not signed on concurrency with IC33 and it's not signed at the IC1/IC33 interchange towards IC1. I guess IP8 already ends at A2 or IC1_S wp but I have no evidence for this segment. Maybe I should go there tomorrow again...

IP8 is only signed:
1. All milestones and signs on Sines bypass (IP8Sin)
2. Some signs at IP8/IC1 interchange next to A2 i/c 10
3. 1 sign b/n A2 and Beja towards A2. I think it's near Ferreira do Alentejo.

No signs anywhere else, e.g. IP2 roundabout in Beja. The entire IP8 from IC1 to the Spanish border is signed with N numbering only. GM indicates the segment from IC1 to IP2 as IP8, OSM indicate IP8 from IC1 to A2 only which seems to be correct. The parallel A26 construction works are still suspended.

btw: E802 is not signed through Evora. E802 begins again with IP2 at N256 intersection.

There is precedent in other systems having unsigned routes. Marking solved.
