Title: NC: NC 42 and 222 Intersection
Post by: mikeandkristie on May 21, 2020, 12:14:03 am
I noticed this on Saturday when we drove along NC 222 to knock out a long chunk of it.  Early on, it intersected with NC 42.  I noticed once we got home that there is just the single intersection point there.  But, there is a slight jog there.  We were coming south, so we got to a stop sign, turned left, and then after the length of the gas station, we turned right to continue on 222.  I pulled it up on Google Maps and measured it and it was around 300 feet.  I don't know if that is below the threshold for doing two points or not.  I will mention that a little further down the road in Fremont, there is a similar jog as it turns onto US 117 for a slight bit.  The site has that segment at 0.10 miles, so that's not too much longer.  I figured I would mention it.
