Is there a particular reason you want me to rename county road intersections?

Because the county route numbers aren't signed.

I have taken your suggestions and submitted new files, with the following comments.

US 20: move IL35 west to the underpass
This point is located central to the turn lanes on 20.

US 20: +X04 -> LogRd
Just because a gravel road makes a good shaping point does not mean it needs to be active.

US 51: IL3/37 -> IL37
IL3 ends here, and despite the duplex, I think the point name can remain.

US 51: OldUS51A/B/C
In each case, the name of the road is Old US Highway 51. In A's case, I have no idea where you got that name. In B's case, it comes close to but does not touch and I think this designation is more useful.

US 51: CR1 -> CobRd
I don't know where you got this name. If it must be renamed it should be BellHillRd.

US 51: WasSt_DuQ -> WasSt_N
There are two Washington Street intersections on US 51, hence this name.

US 51: Old51Rd -> OldRte51
The name of the road is, in fact, Old Highway 51, so I should change it to OldUS51_D.

US 51: CR2000->CR13
Already have a CR13, but I can add county suffixes to both.

US 51: move SMainSt_Mow northeast and NMainSt_Mow south
These points were put where they were for accuracy in travel in the pre-bypass alignment. I will relocate those named points, but the locations the points previously were will be renamed 2700N and HilRd.

US 51: WatSt_S -> BusRte51_S (that's the street name) and move northeast to the overpass
US 51: WatSt -> BusRte51_N
The southern point is centered in the interchange. As for the names, I think it would make more sense to revert to US51BusDec_S despite its official decommissioning, and use BusRte51 as the name for the double back on the freeway.

17: CR9_N -> CR9, CR9_S -> CR30 and move north
This is designed to "square off" the intersection and best accommodate either direction of travel. Will not rename CR9_N as the other CR9 point (which I will also not rename) is in use.

17: US45/52_* -> US45_*? since 52 is east-west
I'm taking 45 as the dominant route, therefore N/S points.

17/1: CR2/33 -> CR2 and move west or CR33 and move north
This way the point serves both roads, "squares off" the intersection, and accommodates either direction of travel.

17/1: +X17 -> CR9 and move southeast
This point is designed to "square off" the intersection for greater overall accuracy.

92: I-74 doesn't have access; replace with 23rdSt
I'm not fiddling with this until the I-74 bridge project is completed.

57: move US24 north half a block and west half a block
This required changing three files (US 24, IL 57, IL 104).

3/146: CavRd -> RefRd
Caveness Road goes to the west. I don't see a problem here.

3: LibSt -> EvaRd
GMSV and OSM both say this is Liberty Street.

3/111: ToUS67 -> AltSquDr
In my opinion, this name is more useful so as to assist anyone who is looking for the US 67 intersection that doesn't exist.

100: LasSt -> ElsRd
A better name would be MillSt. (Maybe a hair of MisSt, but it's mainly Mill after that.)

100: RivDr -> 3930E
OSM says this is Riverview Drive, just as I have it.

100: NapLn -> NapRd
Google OSM, AND the official county map say this is Naples Lane, and it really should be CR3.

100: OldUS67 -> SBI3
This is, believe it or not, a designation from 1918 that somehow has made it to Google Maps. The full name is State Bond Issue 3 (not "South BI 3"), which was the number given to a north-south state highway that partially became US 67 later. If I were to rename it at all, it would be MarSt.

100/US 24: add DutHenRd http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=40.377021&lon=-90.172305 and AveL http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=40.385978&lon=-90.155160 to stay within tolerance
These are not prominent enough for visible points.

150: CouFarmRd -> MurRd
Google, OSM, and the county PDF map say this is County Farm Road.

84: HubRd -> CRY
This is the name of the street.

And how old are these GSV photos? Are they from 2019, or late 2018?

If that's a serious question, you can click and find out. If it's snark implying that they're invalid because they're a few years old, though still newer than the wpt files, you can get out of here with your obstructionism.

You're the one complaining about the map maintainers ignoring, or even shooting down, your suggested edits.  I'm just suggesting one reason why you're being blown off.
Otherwise, if you're looking to be the center of attention, go start your own site.

A recent update on IL104 changed waypoint 0 from US24 to simply US. Is this correct?

Should it have remained US24 or perhaps been renamed US24/57

Many of your suggested changes are cosmetic changes to minor points that, quite often, are not technically wrong the way they are.

It's not my fault Illinois is inconsistent to the point of insane in how county roads are or are not marked. Might I be imposing a method of uniformity that is not there in the field? Yes. Should that require redoing handfuls of points on multiple routes? No. I am doing what I think works best for the overall function of the system and the user.

If two online maps and the DOT say a particular road is one thing, and signage says another, I will tend to go with the former because that is what the user will see when compiling a log. If there's an error in its road type, such as Street when it should be Avenue, it could just be GIGO as applied to the maps, or I might have entered something wrong way back in 2006-08.

These files were made, by and large, before Google Maps Street View existed. I worked off the best information I had available. If you see an error or change in alignment that needs to be corrected to make the existence of that route in the log correct, please let me know. But if the point as it exists conveys the information it needs to convey and is technically correct in some sense, especially for all those minor roads that a handful of users MIGHT need, I do not see reason to "fix" those.

bejacob: Typo on my part. Had a space in it. Should be US24/57 now.

It is. I probably wouldn't have noticed it except that I was fixing some errors I made in my own list file form a recent trip to AR and LA and this one popped up as well. Figured I'd mention it. Thanks for fixing it so quickly.

92: I-74 doesn't have access; replace with 23rdSt
I'm not fiddling with this until the I-74 bridge project is completed.

Actually IL92 has intersected I-74 for about a year now, westbound anyways.  Until December it intersected at 19th St, since December it has intersected in 3 places (19th St, the new I-74 6th/7th Ave Exit, and 23rd St).  Yes, it is confusing as all get out until the construction is complete.  https://youtu.be/ukGXRM-D1Xw is the video showing how you can take part of the new route over the train tracks, pull a U-turn and take the new eastbound off-ramp to get back to the old westbound on-ramp and continue on westbound I-74.  So neroute2 is using old information about those routes not intersecting.

This is designed to "square off" the intersection and best accommodate either direction of travel. Will not rename CR9_N as the other CR9 point (which I will also not rename) is in use.

With CR9, it is probably best to revert to town names here.

This point is designed to "square off" the intersection for greater overall accuracy.

I think that this change should have been done mainly to help reduce the number of hidden shaping points.

3/111: ToUS67 -> AltSquDr
In my opinion, this name is more useful so as to assist anyone who is looking for the US 67 intersection that doesn't exist.

I am fine with this based on the situation, but I would prefer NE2's suggestion.  Having stated that, could a visible point at College Ave on US 67 to the south replace the shaping point at the Central Ave overpass?

IL 100: PleDaleValRd should be shortened based on the "too many words" rule.

Quote
100/US 24: add DutHenRd http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=40.377021&lon=-90.172305 and AveL http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=40.385978&lon=-90.155160 to stay within tolerance
These are not prominent enough for visible points.

The latter road mentioned does go to a school.

For the record, I have no issues with skipping points at minor roads.  I am glad that you at least have a minimum criteria for this (which I personally have had an issue with on roads I have looked at in the east).

I may add more after the Quad Cities Meet, but I did notice a few things on IL 40 and US 150.

IL 40:
1.  A point should be added at Prospect Rd (ProRd) due to the route basically going out of tolerance here.
2.  Consider replacing the hidden shaping point north of IL 6 with a point at Allen Rd (AllRd).

US 150:
1,  Should CouLineRd (County Line Rd) replace the hidden point south of CampRd?
2.  CampRd should probably be PerSt (Perry St).

US 24:  IL29_S should be IL8/116.

IL 29:  US24/150 should be just US150.

IL 6:
1.  I would change I-474 to I-74/474.
2.  US150 should be 2.
3.  IL174 should be 5.
4.  IL40 should be 6.
5.  IL29 should be left alone for now IMO.
