Odd.  I'm also using Firefox (albeit on a MacBook) and I don't have that problem...

I moved the map down 10 pixels.  The right answer is probably to have the map's top edge be some number of pixels below whatever is the base of the text and other controls above.  Anyone who knows CSS is welcome to experiment further.

Firefox 55.0.2 on Ubuntu 16.04 here.
