Title: NY: NY 40: Potential Minor Point Errors
Post by: Markkos1992 on April 13, 2019, 08:57:02 pm
1.   HookBelRd should be CR45 (https://www.google.com/maps/@43.2709404,-73.462838,3a,75y,71.98h,85.05t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sfMV7eqA63oyUXyXvrLRCIQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en).
2.   ValSumRd is probably fine, but it is odd that it is written as Vly Summit Rd (https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0098212,-73.5501817,3a,75y,67.37h,81.63t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1suLfjqf9YNQ4XFz2CvZ8XAA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en).

1. Relabeled.
2. There's a tradition of accepting USPS standard abbreviations (https://pe.usps.com/text/pub28/28apc_002.htm), E.G. "Crk" is acceptable in addition to "Cre", and "Mtn" is acceptable in addition to "Mou". "Vly" appears to be their standard for Valley, and this point is not in use. Know what, why not!
