NC: US 52 Point Issues
« on: November 24, 2019, 06:33:06 pm »
From south to north: (note that the route should probably be flipped as it is posted north-south...)
1.  +X40 should be replaced with a regular point at Harlem Heights Rd(HarHeiRd).
2.  NC742 should be NC742_N
3.  PleGroRd looks like it should be changed to Dennis Rd (DenRd).
4.  I would consider changing OldPlaRd to Ansonville-Polkton Rd (AnsPolRd).
5.  I would recheck the routing of US 52 BUS (Albemarle).  There is a US 52 BUS shield at OldUS52_Alb.
6.  NC73 should be NC73_W.
7.  US52Bus should be US52BusAlb_N.
8.  RusRd should be NECon (for Northeast Connector).
9.  OldRt80 should be Sides Rd (SidRd).
10. NC152_W should be NC152.
11.  +X30 should be for Main St.
12.  +X20 should be replaced by a visible point at Brown Acres Rd (BroAcrRd).
13.  Should the I-285 concurrency be changed to the correct exit numbers?  (affects US 52, US 29, US 70, I-85 BL (Lexington), and NC 8)  (The main reason for this thread.  There are other minor point errors through here if they are not changed.  The rest of the point errors start at I-40 though some below may be moot if changed to exit numbers.  Further discussion can be had about converting US 52 to all exit numbers on its freeway portion.)
14.  Should VarSt be for Research Pkwy (ResPkwy)? (affects US 311 and NC 8)
15.  Should StaDr be *StaDr and 4thSt be *4thSt (both marked as closed)?  (affects US 311 and NC 8)
16.  Should there be a second LibSt between NorBlvd and 27thSt?  (affects NC 8)
17.  AkrDrv should be AkrDr. (affects NC 8)
18.  UniPky should be UniPkwy.
19.  KingTobRd should maybe be a MainSt point. (affects I-74 Fut (Pilot Mountain))
20.  CooSch should maybe be CookSchRd. (affects I-74 Fut (Pilot Mountain))

Turned off the 'smileys' in your post above since 8 + ) beside each other = 8). ;)

From south to north: (note that the route should ptobably be flipped as it is posted north-south...)

That's because we decided that US-52 is E/W for it's entire length, and we decided back in the past that we kept the route the same for the entire length of it thru each state (but we could use _N/_S in the files depending on how each state posted it).

I figured that was why the Mount Airy business route labels were still _N and _S.

I guess we should temporarily give NC66Con the closed asterisk as the exit closes for good on December 9th. (also affects I-74 FUT (Pilot Mountain))

Changes made and in the queue.

I gave 52 its exit numbers below the NC66Con and left the labels alone north of there, presuming that I-74's exit numbers will be used when they sign I-74...

I also closed NC66Con from NC 66, but left the I-74futpil waypoint as active (called US 52) because that is still where I-74 Future ends.

The US 52 Bus Albemarle route was extended south in 2010...

The new southern point of US 52 BUS (Albemarle) needs to be synced with US 52.

Synched the US 52 Bus Alb point and shortened the extension on the MainSt_King point
