Regarding US66HisOkl: it is signed westbound as turning right off of NW 39th onto Penn Ave, and then turning left onto I-44. Eastbound is signed as following NW 39th from I-44 exit 124, as is mapped.

NW 39th is actually the historic alignment, the signed westbound jog on Penn is presumably for continuity's sake since if you proceed west on NW 39th you will find it becomes one-way eastbound a few blocks later and not be able to continue following it. Still, worth a note.

Also: there are several alignments of Historic US 66 signed in Oklahoma City. The one that is mapped is the original 1926 routing. But there are also signs posted for the 1930 alignment (39th-Western instead of 39th-Classen), 1933 alignment (May-23rd instead of 39th-Classen-23rd), 1931 Beltline (Western-Britton from 39th to Kelley), 1936 Beltline (Classen from 39th to Western) and 1947 Beltline (May-Britton from 39th to Kelley).

Since these are all signed I'd say they should all be mapped.

The city's tourism website has a handy map.

I have finally completed my Atlanta Meet Trip Report.

I also did a trip on March 16th to view the ongoing Berkeley Springs Bypass Construction for US 522 in WV and clinch the now posted MD 219.

I don't see any rush to do anything here.  TM is not intended for navigational purposes.  Unless it is decided somewhere down the line that there will be no replacement at all, I think it stays as-is in TM as a temporary closure.

It's worth noting that with IN 912, initially there weren't actually plans to replace the bridge.

Since this bridge will be replaced (feds have already said they'll cover the tab, even) I am inclined to treat it no differently from any other case where a bridge is closed for replacement, albeit this one was unplanned.

May need to adjust the alignment depending on if the replacement ends up being fully "in place" or not, but that's to worry about later. For now, no action.

I'm in favor of keeping it as-is. Don't remove the segment from TM.

How did we handle cases like IN 912?
It was split, though it was created while broken (and reviewed and activated with the wrong bit missing!)

2015-08-03;(USA) Indiana;IN 912;in.in912;Truncated at north end from Riley Road to exit 5A
2015-08-03;(USA) Indiana;IN 912 ((West) East Chicago);in.in912wec;Extended at east end from US41 to Riley Road
2016-08-09;(USA) Indiana;IN 912 ((West) East Chicago);in.in912ham;Renamed as IN 912 (Hammond)
2020-12-24;(USA) Indiana;IN 912;in.in912;Extended at west end via rebuilt bridge and former IN 912 (Hammond) to I-90
2020-12-24;(USA) Indiana;IN 912 (Hammond);;Route deleted

For the Genoa viaduct collapse we removed the closed section of road, but there was talk of them not reopening it (there was, and still is, a longstanding plan to build a bypass).

They've done emergency rebuilds pretty quickly in the past. It's certainly more substantial than St. Anthony Falls or I-40 OK, but if the approach spans can be salvaged, they may be able to rebuild within 2-3 years. Really comes down to if the feds can throw a ton of money at it.

For the purposes of TM, it's a long-term closure, but probably not worth removing that stretch entirely given the conditions. How did we handle cases like IN 912?

Obviously it's too soon to say what the replacement plan is, but the original bridge took 5 years in the 70s to build, so this is unlikely to merely be a medium term closure.

Is there an intent to bring back themes?  I picked the one I did becausee it was easier to read with my eyes.

Yes, but it will take time, as new themes have to be created from scratch.
