Title: NC: US-70 exit numbers
Post by: rickmastfan67 on February 27, 2021, 01:24:23 pm
(NOTE: Not mentioning any exit numbers along the part that will become I-885 this year hopefully)
I-540 -> 292 (https://goo.gl/maps/k5P4qzNresUDnvtC6)
LumRd -> 293 (https://goo.gl/maps/k5P4qzNresUDnvtC6)
310 -> 320 (https://goo.gl/maps/wdgRa1kVVcVnNnGg6)
US70BusSmi_E -> 337 (https://goo.gl/maps/ayCV9rz9au3cAN5BA)
ClaRd -> 409 (https://goo.gl/maps/W1YNHMWUCYQ4gNVs8)
US17_S -> 410 (https://goo.gl/maps/bg6kWhAr52tpzjaGA) (US-17 needs label updated too to 141 (https://goo.gl/maps/xqKG7CMMrdXJ8i2a8); OSM is wrong here on US-17)
NC43 -> 411 (https://goo.gl/maps/bg6kWhAr52tpzjaGA) (US-17 needs updated too)
NC55_W -> 416 (https://goo.gl/maps/6Sobq4yB1LhzS1E88) (US-17 needs updated too)
US17_N -> 417 (https://goo.gl/maps/U2nH9iYDMvkuhgEy5)

And on a side note, the following point needs recentered:
US70BusDur (new interchange), but I'm not sure if we want to change the label just yet till I-885 is official.

US70BusDur is closed. US 70 Business (Durham) now goes along NC 98 to US 70 (I 885 Future).

US70BusDur is closed.
There's ramps to Carr Road near where that point is in the browser that will be the northbound ramps for I-885 exit 10 / US70 exit 228A (going by OSM's exit numbers).

Bob Malme's site (https://malmeroads.net/ncfutints/fut885.html) clarifies this exit as Exit 288A for US 70.

Not going to do anything with US 70 at the I-885 area until 885 opens because there are a couple ways of doing this.  Is the US 70 Bus relocation permanent or just a detour while they finish up the Carr Rd interchange?

Changed everything else...

From Bob Malme's I-885 page (https://malmeroads.net/ncfutints/fut885.html):

When I-885 is completed US 70 Business traffic will use the revised NC 98 exit.

NC55_W -> 416 (US-17 needs updated too)

Was updated on US 17 but not on US 70.  The US 70 Exit Numbers need to be added to NC 55 as well.

US17_S -> 410 (US-17 needs label updated too to 141; OSM is wrong here on US-17)

So NCDOT actually updated the number here, that is interesting. (https://www.google.com/maps/@35.1258673,-77.1537532,3a,75y,21.14h,85.53t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1srAhCBrJySBbFHu-bvEHRQA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656)

Yeah.
This imagery is from June 2020. https://goo.gl/maps/Bk4ku4TAwfm4b51G9
That is, unless that date listed is incorrect.

You link is from May 2019.

LOL!  For some reason, Google removed that 2020 imagery.  Guess it's a good thing I spotted that change before they did that and mapmikey was able to make the change before the proof disappeared.

I am not ready to start a new thread for the East End Connector yet, but is this photo enough to relocate US 70 BUS along NC 98?  (https://malmeroads.net/ncfutints/fut885.html#photos)

Go figure, that imagery is back again, and that old link works once again.
