Title: RI 114 in Pawtucket
Post by: neroute2 on May 08, 2022, 01:30:48 am
https://www.rigis.org/datasets/ridot-roads-2016/explore seems to be a nice consistent source (it even shows RI 51!). What it shows for RI 114 south of RI15_E is:
northbound Prospect-Pond-Summit-Walcott-Underwood
southbound Underwood-Walcott-Division-School
What signage I can find agrees with this (northbound (https://www.google.com/maps/@41.8712456,-71.3772358,3a,32.4y,75.01h,92.17t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sXkuGxnigOEy8tldArT-uQQ!2e0!7i16384!8i8192), southbound (https://www.google.com/maps/@41.8767937,-71.3787322,3a,75y,282.61h,82.24t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sm7Yv5c8ezG8kNO3iCW45bw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192)). Therefore the I-95 point is not actually on RI 114. It could be replaced by DivSt at Summit and Division.

DivSt (http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=41.873505&lon=-71.378109) added as recommended.
Also added PondSt (http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=41.870825&lon=-71.379225) to make the route a little easier on the eyes in the HB.

I-95 AltLabel:
3 people are using the I-95 label -- charliezeb & hsford have travels to the south, so I made I-95 an AltLabel of PondSt to more accurately preserve their travels.
Oscar, with travels to the north, is active enough on the forum & GitHub, so I'll send a ping with the pull request.

Treating this as a non-newsworthy update, because RI114.

I'm going to remove, rather than edit, that RI114 list file entry. I didn't drive any part of RI 114 in that area, other than any part concurrent with I-95. With your update, that concurrency goes poof.

My list file entry is a remnant from when we had to manually add concurrencies to our list files, before we implemented automatic concurrency detection.

I'll take my time about pulling in my list file update, until I make some other updates.

Technically there was no concurrency before, with RI114 winding its way around the frontage roads.
I was a bit surprised to see I didn't have any mileage there myself, having passed through during the Providence meet in 2010. I found the AARoads topic, and rereading Alps' comments, it appears I didn't stay on it long enough to count the whole segment as clinched.
