PA: US 222 and PA 863 at Schantz Rd/Farmington Rd

Markkos1992:
The roundabout on US 222 at Schantz Rd/Farmington Rd/PA 863 is now open.

Sadly, US 222 and PA 863 lose its graph connection because PA 863 now ends at Schantz Rd at a new intersection just northeast of US 222.

(The orange signs preceding the roundabout definitely say "Schantz Rd To PA 863".)

But what do the reference posts say?

Also, news articles suggest the project won't fully wrap up until summer so maybe wait to see what the permanent signage will say, as opposed to orange construction signage which is often not correct...

No 5-way roundabout for PennDOT, eh?

The signage plans on ECMS made it clear that PA 863 was being truncated (and the orange signs match that).  There was a "PA 863 NORTH" without the "TO" in the roundabout, but again that was temporary construction signage.  I will probably do another drive through once the project is complete anyway.

Nope, though Schantz Rd does lead to warehouses just west of PA 100 (hence why I added a point at Schantz Rd on PA 100) so it makes sense why it is favored.  I will probably have to readjust the roundabout point once it shows up on OSM.

Having driven the new roundabout twice last week, it's painfully obvious that work here is nowhere near complete. I'd favor holding off on doing anything drastic until we see the actual finished signage, none of which is in place yet (and won't be until later this year at least).
