Updates to Highway Data / Re: AASHTO Fall 2024 Meeting

According to GMSV, US 14/83 is still signed through Pierre as of November and the truck route remains signed.

Legislative session just started up last Tuesday, the redesignation has to get approved by the legislature (rubber-stamp, our routes are codified in state law for some reason) then the signs need to be ordered and put up. I'm not expecting anything until April at the earliest to allow for warmer temps. The guy I talked to at work about it will probably tell me when it's done, and/or I can ask the politicians I know if that bill's passed yet. Will field-check periodically as life allows as well.

Saw an article in the local free paper at the grocery store about this, the designation will take affect July 1st. Not sure how fast signage will follow since we haven't had a new designation in... a long time...

Law took affect July 1st, route GIS has been updated (https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/c0d19beb93784872bd6dc8a06382010b). Not sure when signs go up, but they are doing a utility project on Euclid so will probably put signs up as part of it. These usually get done in the fall. I'll field check around Labor Day for sure, maybe earlier.

Yes. The GMSV imagery isn't recent enough to show whether the west end of Bear Valley Road is now signed, but there are newish signs for the Old Spanish Trail at the east end of Bear Valley Road at UT 20.

EDIT: My bad. Google Maps just decided to default to 2014 imagery for some reason.

Just bumping this as a reminder.  This would be between SR622 and SR619.  And I found that missing shaping point that is in va.us023.wpt but not va.us058altabi.wpt.

Solved Highway data updates / VA/WV: VA/WV-83 transition in wrong place???

So, was just randomly looking @ WV-83 due to another thread, and noticed some funkyness with the boarder of WV/VA at the southern end of the route.

So, I started to GSV scope out the route, and discovered that our transition between the two states on 83 is way off.

If we go with the border line from Google Maps, we might have some 'VA-83' segments solely in WV.

Should we just make the transition of the routes where the pavement changes since the state line seems to ride 83 here?  If we choose this, the 'DavMouRd' point in WV-83 will need to move to VA-83's file.  And the 'current' border point in both files, should become a 'CR83/9' point in just VA-83's file.

Anyway we look at this, this will require news entries for both routes.

1. Actually, that name was originally correct (Aug '13).  It got renamed.  Fixed.

WV 67: 
1.  Consider replacing the shaping point south of BraRidRd with a visible point.

WV 76:

2.  CR77/1>-CR77/7

Southbound, 9 and 8 exist.
8A/8B/8/9 are all not perfectly mapped. I added 8 though.

17A as you called it is just the missing/displaced corner of the Exit 17 cloverleaf. Same interchange.
30A is actually just the underpass for the SB > EB direction. Sat imagery layer is a bit more clear on this.

They're numbered as a part of G0121, but it is currently unsigned.

93(G2502) is not a continuation of S3600's exit numbers, but actually the number from G2502. It is signposted on S3600 as 93.

11 looks like a SPUI that's a little awkwardly folded due to the canal?
Looks like Zhongyang Ave is signed in English on S30. Zhongyang is translated to Central.
