Title: ND: ND 22 Truck in Dickinson
Post by: the_spui_ninja on July 04, 2016, 12:31:17 pm
So when I was in Dickinson recently, I noticed a signed ND 22 Truck on the west side of town. I only drove the southern half (up to the interstate) which followed 8th St SW, State Ave S, and the I-94 Business Loop. North of there, there appeared to be a state-maintained bypass following 113th Ave SW and 33rd St SW (I didn't go on that though)

I know that there's plans for a bypass further out on the northwest side, so is this temporary? I haven't heard anything about the southwest side, but I haven't really done any digging.

There is a new signed ND22 "Truck By-pass" in Dickinson. It goes from Exit 59 (I-94) along 113th Ave north to 33rd St then east to ND22.

Well this confirms the northern half... how do you merge threads?

More proof of the southern routing (and the new shield design, to boot!)

Thanks. I'm holding off on editing until I get a new PC assembled, which could hopefully be in the next few days. In the meantime, maybe someone else could make the edits, as I've dropped official maintenance of ND due to my plate being too full.

Leaving a link to the GitHub issue here, so I don't lose things.

Also: unsure whether this should be added as ND22Trk or ND22Byp. Any insights here?

I don't know, as GMSV (https://www.google.com/maps/@46.861025,-102.7898414,3a,15y,18.36h,87.59t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s_B-rFanuaGxV1QsI-oB40w!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo1.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3D_B-rFanuaGxV1QsI-oB40w%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D138.13609%26pitch%3D0!7i13312!8i6656) has the south end signed as ND 22 Truck... but that was 5 years ago.

Also, the prevailing method in usand is truck, not bypass, if that means anything.
