More northern Honshu

E6
a) Waypoint 1(Job) could be C3/SE6.  SE6 is the thru road.
b) Waypoint 10-1 should be 10-1(Job)
c) Add exits 19-1(job), 20-1(Job), and 20-2(Job)

E48
a) E48 does not exist between waypoints 9 and 10. Need to split it into two entries.
b) E48 ends at waypoint 9
c) Add exit 7-1(Yam)

E48Tsu (Tsuruoka) - new entry
a) Starts at waypoint 10

E49
a) Add exit 2-1
b) Waypoint 14 should be E7/E8
c) Add a new waypoint 14, ~1 km north of E7/E8, at the bridge.

E80
a) no changes

E4 correction
a) Waypoint 1 could be called SES1/C3 or C3/SES1.  SES1 is the continuing road.  (My original suggestion used S1, not SES1)

I'm back from Tennessee and a visit to the New River bridge in WV.

E1
a) Add exits 4-1, 6-1, 7-2, 10-1, 15-2, 16-1, 16-3, 19-3, 21-1, 25-3, and 26-2.
b) Current waypoint 4-1 should be named 4-2.
c) Current waypoint 7-2 should be named 7-3.
d) Current waypoint 16-1 should be named 16-2.
e) Current waypoint 19-1 should be named 19-2.
f) Waypoint 1 could be called SE3.
g) Waypoint 38 could be called HE3.
h) Exit 30-2 has two separate interchanges - Seta Nishi (W) and Seta Higashi (E). Maybe add a 30-2a waypoint for Seta Nishi similar to what was done for exit 7.

E1A
a) Add exits 10-1(STE) and 13-1(STE).

E1A - possible new branch
a) I believe the connecting road from 3(SME) to E23 is a stub of E1A. OSM and GSV both mark it as E1A, but I could not find any confirmatory signage along the road using GSV. The Japanese wiki page for the Kameyama West interchange also says that the connector is part of E1A.

E1AEbi
a) Waypoint 1 could be named C4.
b) Waypoint 5-1 could be named E1_Ise, similar to how you named E1_Got on E1A. Isehara is the junction name.

E1AKaw
a) Waypoint E1 could be named E1_Tak. Takatsuki is the junction name.
b) Waypoint 5-1 could be named E2.

E1AYaw
no changes

E2
a) E2A_E could be named E1A.  E2 is a direct continuation of E1A.  Or if you wish to keep the E2A reference, maybe use E2A_Kob (Kobe junction).
b) E2A_W could be named E2A_Yam (Yamaguchi junction).
c) Add exits 14-1, 21-1 and 29-1

E2 - possible new branch
a) Exit 32-1 (Hatsukaichi IC) is on a branch that leaves from exit 32 (Hatsukaichi JCT). The Hatsukaichi JCT and IC wiki pages both say that the branch is part of E2. I think that exit 32-1 being at the end of the branch infers that it is more a short branch route and not a very long exit ramp.

E2Ube
a) Waypoint E2A could be E2A_Shi. Shimonoseki is the junction name.

E2 - combine with E2Ube
a) E2 seems to follow the Ogoori Bypass and Yamaguchi-Ube Road from Yamaguchi Minami IC (exit 41) on the E2 to Ube JCT (exit 42) on E2Ube. If you concur, we need to combine E2 and E2Ube into one entry and add waypoints for the ICs between exits 41 and 42.
b) If E2 does connect to E2Ube, then the section of E2 from Yamaguchi-Minami IC (41) up to E2A becomes a branch route of E2.

The Japanese wiki pages for the two roads indicate that they are part of E2.

OSM sparsely shows E2 symbols on the two roads. Google Maps does not mark the Ogoori Bypass as E2, but the GSV road name overlay does show both the roads as being part of E2. As usual, in GSV I could find no mention of E2 on signs on the two roads.

https://search.w-nexco.co.jp/en/map.php shows E2 using the two roads. Nexco is the company that manages the toll expressways, so they would know where E2 is routed.

E2A
a) Add exits 18-1 and 32-1.
b) Waypoint 2 has two exit areas, 2 km apart. Consider using two waypoints - 2 and 2A.
c) Waypoint 38 should probably be located closer to P72, south of the tunnels.

E3A, E3AYat - second review
Maybe use E3_N for the first waypoint in E3AYat and E3_S for the last waypoint in E3A. Or E3 for the first waypoint in E3AYat and 26 for the last waypoint in E3A. The expressway will at some point be continuous; the missing sections are under construction.

E4A, E4AAom - second review
Maybe use E4_S for the first waypoint in E4A and E4_N for the 54 waypoint in E4AAom.

E2Kim, E2Kur, E3, E3AIzu, E4, E4AHac, E4AMic, E5, E5Nan, E5Nay, E5Toy - second review
No changes

f) Waypoint 1 could be called SE3.
g) Waypoint 38 could be called HE3.
If there is an exit number that's in the sequence of the rest of the road, I will always use that rather than a road name. I'll use the road name if it's the exit numbering from the other road, or there's no exit number.

Though the entity managing the non-toll roads don't seem to think it's E2. And I think its worse than merely non-signed as E2, but actively not signed: at the western end E2 is only signed on the bit mapped, and not on the Yamaguchi-Ube Road.

Thanks for letting me know the rule for naming the end exits when in sequence.

I just found this sign from 2020 GSV (not present in 2018).  It indicates that the Yamaguchi-Ude road south of Kagawa IC is E2.
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.0551082,131.3501619,3a,67.6y,77.26h,98.1t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sAhh1jvp1646kV5BnQRs3_Q!2e0!7i16384!8i8192

The best written reference I have found so far is the Sanyo Expressway wiki page.  E2 follows the the Sanyo Expressway for most of its length.  The page says that E2 follows the two roads, connecting the Fukida-Yamaguchi Line of the Sanyo/E2 with the Ube-Shimonoseki Line of the Sanyo/E2.

The Ube JCT wiki page says that the Yamaguchi-Ude road is E2 when it leaves the junction.  The Yamaguchi Minami IC wiki page says that the Ogoori Road is E2 when it leaves the IC.  The wiki pages for the two roads say they are part of E2.  Of course, all this only proves that wikipedia is internally consistent about the roads.

E2Kim - datacheck LABEL_SELFREF
Waypoint E2 should be 2

E2Kur - datacheck LABEL_SELFREF
Waypoint E2 should be 16

E3 - concurrency check
E3 does not show a concurrency with AH1 between waypoints 4-1 and 5.

How should the changes made to E1, E2, E3, etc. that also affect AH1 be handled?

No, these are fine. I'll just have to declare the errors as false positives.

I've gone and implemented those changes in AH1. A review of that route would be useful, allowing it to also be activated.

E8
a) Add exits 14-1, 23-1, and 40-1.

E9
a) I would add (KJE) - for Kyoto Jukan Expressway - to the waypoint names for exits 1 thru 17. Most of these numbers are also used on the sections of E9 that are part of the San-In Expressway.

E9Ham
a) Nob is not an exit. It goes to a rest area.

E9Iwa
a) Ota could be named P27.
b) N9_E could be named N9_Iwa (from Iwami IC).
c) P43 could be named N9_Fuk (from Fukube IC).

E9Kus
a) N9 could be named N9_Tou (from Touta IC).

E9Mas
a) N9 could be named N9_Suk (from Suko IC).

E9Mat
a) Add exit 10-1.

E9Hig, E9Kam, E9Nag, E9Oda, E9Sam, E9Tot, E9Yun
-- No changes

E11
a) Add exit 3-1(Tak)

E14
a) Waypoint E51 should be 7-1.
b) I think waypoint 9 should be 8a and 9a should be 9.  I think the exit from current waypoint 9 is the northbound exit piece of waypoint 8.
c) Add exit 18-1.

E14Kis - new branch
a) A short branch of E14 starting at waypoint 17 with three waypoints 17, 17-1, and N16. Kis is from the road name Kisarazu South Branch Line.

E16
-- No changes

E16Nam
a) The KanZoo exit only goes to the Nature Park parking lot. It does not connect to other roads.

E17
a) Add exits 3-1 and 7-1.

E18
a) Add exit 14-1.

E19
a) Add exits 6-1(Nag), 24-1(Cen) and 25-1(Cen).

E20
a) Add exits 3-2, 9-1 and 15-1.
b) Exit 5 has two components that the expressway wiki page and OSM label as exits 5-1 and 5-2. 5-1 is a westbound exit onto P16. 5-2 is the current waypoint 5.

E1AKam - new branch
a) Extends from E1A waypoint 3(SME) to E23 waypoint 32-1. The junction wiki pages both call the connector E1A, as does OSM. The connector is considered part of the Shin Meishin Expwy which is assigned E1A by the expressway numbering scheme. Kam is from Kameyama Connecting Road. The connector is 5km long, so I think it is too long to be considered an exit ramp.

E23
a) Add exit 32-2, an exit from the rest area. It is just north of waypoint E25.
b) Ramps for 32-2, 33, and E25 are so intertwined I can’t decide where the waypoints should be and how many there should be. I defer to your experience.  (The Higashi Meihan Expwy wiki page has 32-2 connecting to P786, and 33 being the connection to E25 and N1.)
c) Add exit 39-2.

E24
a) Waypoint Gose should be named P116.
b) Waypoint N35 should be named P35.

E24Shi
a) Add a waypoint at the Miyake IC between 8 and 9. It is very near where E24 crosses the railroad and river. The exit connects to the Kashihara Bypass beneath E24. The bypass is an alternate branch of N24.

E24Kyo
-- No changes.

E25
a) I think using (MHE) or (Mei) would be better than (Osa) for the waypoints on the eastern part of E25. This part of the road is the Meihan Expressway.
b) I think (NME) or (NMH) would be better than (Nin) for the waypoints on the western part of E25. This part of the road is the Nishi Meihan Expressway.
c) Consider using exit 29(MHE) instead of 6(Nin). The Meihan Expwy has an exit 29 at the Tenri IC.  Or you could add exit 29 where N25 meets P51, just east of N169.

E26
a) Add exit 2. It is N of the river at Settsu Minami IC (IC shown on Google maps)
b) I think waypoint 7 is part of the exit 6 system.  Waypoint 7a should be waypoint 7, although it needs to be moved S a little to be at the exit.
c) Add exit 12.  It is where P36 exits/enters E26, just N of 12-1.

E27
a) Add exits 12-1 and 15.

E29, E29Tat
No changes

E31
a) Waypoint 3-1 is slightly too far south.
b) Waypoint 3-2 is slightly too far north. The exit is not at P66.

E32
a) Add exit 5-1.

E32Kaw
-- No changes

But not signed enough to be considered a spur rather than long exit ramps.

E41
a) Add exit 1-1(THE). It is between N155 and P145.
b) Waypoint 13-1 is not an exit. It goes to a parking area and there is no connection to other roads.
c) Waypoint 19(THE) should be named E8. The value 19 is from E8, not the THE.
d) The (Nag) waypoints should probably use (Noe) . The highway is the Noetsu Expressway.
e) Add exit 4-1(Noe).

E41Ana
a) Yok could be named P23

E42Shi
a) N46 should be named P43.
b) Sano could be named Shin from Shinguu Minami IC.

E42Wak
a) Add exits 21-1 and 28-1.

E50
a) Add exit 4-1
b) I checked waypoint 21 on 2020 GSV and the final IC is not given a number. Consider using P6/P62.  The Hitachinaka toll road wiki page also shows a numberless final IC.

E51
a) Waypoint 10 should be named 9-1. Exit 10 is a SIC off of N295 onto E65 just east of the 9-1 JCT, and is defined as a waypoint on E65.

E55
a) Waypoint N44 should be named P44.

E55Kik
a) N55_S could be named N55_Kon (from Konou IC)
b) N55_N could be named N55_Hiw (from Hiwasa exit/entrance).

E55Tan
a) N493_S could be named N493_Kas (from Kashiwagi IC).
b) N493_N could be named N493_Shi (from Shibasaki IC)

E56
a) Add exit 14-1.

E56Shi
a) Use the exit numbers 26, 27, 28 instead of N56_Nak, P344, and N56_Hir.
b) Add exit 29.

E64
a) There’s a stoplight at the N7 intersection. The Japanese wiki page for the expwy says that they have discussed building an IC here, but there are currently no plans in place.

E64Aji
a) N101_E could be named N101_Kiz (from Kizukurikoshimizu town)
b) N101_W could be named N101_Aji (from Ajigasawa IC)

E65
a) I would position waypoint N295 closer to the Exit 10 SIC ramps.

E67
a) N158 could be N158_Abu (from Aburasakatouge exit).
b) Add (E41) to waypoints 10, 11, 11-1, 12, and 13.
c) P471 is not part of E67. This section of E67 ends at N41.

E67Eih
a) N157 should be named N158_Oon (from Oono IC). The expwy continues onto 158.  157 meets 158 a short distance away.

E67Hir
a) N158 could be named N158_Nak (from Nakanoyu IC).

E68
a) Add exit 1-1.
