Title: SD: SD21 routing, SD203/258 unsigned
Post by: vespertine on August 07, 2020, 04:45:20 pm
First, the routing for SD21 doesn't take into account the zigzag into downtown Hayti. If going north on SD21/450th, it turns east at Main Av (https://goo.gl/maps/fV1zwiGjgEz9GjjL8), north on 4th St (https://goo.gl/maps/xva9iDm2mwyhynnZ8), then east on Redbird Av/188th. Also, I traveled SD203 and SD258 in both directions in Plankinton, and found both to be completely unsigned, unless you want to count this tiny tab (https://goo.gl/maps/Agqkmvz8uh6EKa1u6) under the weigh station sign as signage, which I doubt.

That tiny tab is how SD signs some of its 3-digit routes that are deemed really unimportant. It may be small, but it is consistent.

SD's tiny tabs resemble those on Hawaii milemarker assemblies. We've treated routes with only such tabs, and not regular route markers, as unsigned.

Fair enough; from what I've seen SD only has those at the beginnings/ends of routes and not on mile markers.
