Title: TN: James White Pkwy (JamWhiPkwy) missing exit point and missing route number(?)
Post by: rlee on July 25, 2018, 06:32:19 pm
Missing Exit:
* On my way home, I noticed that there is a partial exit for TN 158 SB to Cumberland Ave that has no label. Here is the signage near the Cumberland Ave exit: https://goo.gl/maps/6dtUAtDrgPT2

Route number:
* On that sign above, I noticed that the section of James White Pkwy from the south end of the TN 158 concurrency heading east over the Tennessee River is signed as TN 71.  Is that an old route marker that TDOT needs to be removed?

Thanks. That exit actually functions better as an exit from TN 158 after it leaves the Parkway (or the Parkway leaves it) so I added a point CumAve/MainSt to the TN 158 file. I'll submit it along with some other changes this weekend.

According to TDOT documents I had a couple of years ago when I drafted this set, TN 71 officially follows US 441 in Knox County. It is not signed anywhere on that route, or on any of the other US highways it follows in the state, and it has no official non-concurrent sections, so I did not create a TN 71 file.

TN-71 was posted back in 2012 for the James White Pkwy (https://goo.gl/maps/7WaBeYs7fR92).   However, signage on that sign was removed by July '15.

However, this PDF (https://www.tn.gov/content/dam/tn/tdot/maps/functional-class-maps/co47b-functional-map.pdf) shows a route number of 00071 for it.  But then again, that same PDF still shows US-11 going downtown instead of being along TN-158's old route.

On a side note, shouldn't the 'HallFameDr' point be changed to US11/70 since they are now posted there?  Also, would need to be synced with them as well.  Would clear out 3 lines from the NMP log.

Code: [Select]
tn.jamwhipkwy HallFameDr (35.963811,-83.911645) NMP tn.us011 HallFameDr_S (35.963814,-83.911616) tn.us070 HallFameDr_S (35.963814,-83.911616)
tn.us011 HallFameDr_S (35.963814,-83.911616) NMP tn.jamwhipkwy HallFameDr (35.963811,-83.911645)

Got it. Thanks.

Well TN 71 signs still appear on the James White Pkwy as of roadwaywiz's latest trip to Knoxville in January 2022.

Nothing seems to have changed here.
