General Web Design Discussion / Re: "Unranked" users

I should be able to get tooltips on the main rankings page with this info for any user who specifies such info in the listfileinfo.csv file.  I hope to play with that shortly.

I like option 2 better as well.

And thanks for solving the mystery of Noire.

Updates to Highway Data / Re: KY HalRogPkwy extended east?

Got replies from KYTC staff. Yes, the Parkway will be extended to US 23. Signage is coming, and once there's evidence of it I'll update the map. As for KY 80, no one was sure how that would be dealt with yet, but the District 12 person said he would investigate. Past the junction with 23 south of Prestonsburg, there's only a short segment (less than 7 miles) of 80 that's not concurrent with at least one other route.

The US 460 project is proceeding and the person I spoke with was hopeful it would be complete by the end of the year. He also confirmed that the former routing would be Alternate 460, and implied that Virginia would be using that designation as well.

Two possible ways to show this info on the main user page are both at the top of

https://tmdevel.teresco.org/user/?units=miles&u=beltway&

I lean toward the second, where there is some text below the existing header line rather than the first, where the user description text becomes part of the header line.  Thoughts?

Updates to Highway Data / Re: CO: US 24 in Burlington

Since it's signed and inventoried as US 24, could this be added as a US 24 spur, as was done with US 64 in Marion, AR?

I guess I would be okay with this approach. That way if CDOT decides to switch it to CO 24 in the future (like they did with 85 in Colorado Springs) it would make the transition easier.

Is there a list of unranked users besides listfileinfo.csv that explains what they represent? Some of the names are obvious, like beltway and Jim's yearly lists, but what's Noire?

I thought for sure I pulled the description field from the DB and displayed it at least on the user page for those who have a description specified but it doesn't look like I went beyond creating an Issue: https://github.com/TravelMapping/Web/issues/783

Updates to Highway Data / Re: NC 12 north end

The ArcGIS map does not reflect this (https://forum.travelmapping.net/index.php?topic=4889.0) and still shows it north of our current endpoint as SR 1437 to the beach area.

Maybe this new sign is more of a symbolic thing for people rather than an official thing within NCDOT.  (Also I did not let myself drive to the beach area in 2022 because of the end (at least then) clearly being south of there.)

Should it also get a point at Triumph Boulevard for the interchange with the commuter lanes?

Could even be US 24 mainline. eure has similar gaps at the Hungary-Romania border: https://travelmapping.net/user/mapview.php?sys=eure&rg=HUN,ROU
