MT SR 482 truncated?
« on: September 26, 2024, 11:01:21 am »
Yesterday, I traveled Montana secondary route 482, paralleling US 2 south of Libby. Its south end seems to have been truncated. There is an End 482 sign on Farm to Market Road, just north of Hammer Cut Off. There is no signage on Hammer, or on US 2 where it intersects Hammer, indicating that 482 still follows Hammer between US 2 and Farm to Market. But OSM and ESRI World Street Map still have 482 following Hammer back to US 2.

Looking at the satellite imagery there's a pavement change at that intersection too.

However, https://app.mdt.mt.gov/routeidtool/ still has the Hammer Cutoff section as part of S-482, but this could be out of date.

Given that there's an end sign I'm fine with truncating it unless there's objections.
