Title: NC I-40 Exit 153
Post by: mvak36 on April 03, 2018, 11:08:03 am
It looks like this waypoint can be removed since the exit no longer exists. I was looking at the site for the Statesville interchange project (https://www.ncdot.gov/projects/i40i77Improvements/) and it had closing that exit as part of the project.

Closing I-40 Exit 153 (U.S. 64)

OSM, Google Maps, and GSV seem to back this up

EDIT: I think this might affect US 64 too.

The waypoint should be marked as closed with an asterisk, not removed, on both routes.

Ok. I wasn't sure what the process was for that.

So that's what the asterisk means.  I had noticed the same thing as was about to post it as well.

Was just looking at this old thread and noticed that there's a small error in US-64's file.

"*I-40(153)" location shouldn't be synced up with I-40 here, since it never entered I-40's right-of-way here.  I would move that point back to right in between the old ramps on US-64, which is where I think it was before.
