Apparently, Google went and changed the Maps API so that we can no longer highlight text in the InfoWindow. I'm getting this behavior in both the HDX and HB, and on old CHM pages such as the HB and WPTedit, in both Firefox and Chromium.
That was totally unnecessary, and is a big pain in the rump. See: the title of this topic. :P

ANGRY PULL -> https://github.com/TravelMapping/Web/pull/144
-
YES! Thank you! Hoping this does the trick.
-
Live on site, but I can't select infowindow text.
-
Oh yeah, I noticed this the other day when I was making some corrections to my list file. This is pretty annoying!
-
Now fixed for real https://github.com/TravelMapping/Web/pull/149
-
Live on site, but not working for me still.
-
Thanks for fixing it!
@Jim, I'm using Chrome on Windows and, although there's a slight delay in getting the InfoWindows to load, I can select text in them now.

Chrome, you say? Hm. I just fired up Chromium, and indeed, I can select text in the InfoWindow now. Firefox is still a no go, though.
Ah well... Guess I'll be using Chromium now... :\ (Meh, GMaps is every-so-slightly faster on it anyway?)
Thanks again for making the fix, theFXexpert!

Can do the select on Chrome, but not on Firefox or Safari.
-
An attempt to make it work in other browsers that aren't Chrome related -> https://github.com/TravelMapping/Web/pull/152
-
Pull 152 is live on site, and I can select text in FF on Mac.
-
I can select text in both the HB and HDX on two old-ish versions of FF on Ubuntu 10.04. Haven't tried it on the Ubuntu 16.04 box yet, but I'm confident it should work.
Edit: Great Success!

Heh! At some point today, I regained the ability to select InfoWindow text on the CHM HB and WPTedit.
Google must have changed something back.
That, or... Tim quietly made an update to his pages from the shadows?
-
It looks like Google changed it back. user-select:none css rules no longer appear in the map elements.
So. Uh... Great!

I am really glad to hear that the info windows are selectable again. It really helps in work - I can't even describe how much! :D
