Title: CA: NMPs related to usaush routes
Post by: Jim on June 05, 2022, 09:49:57 pm
I was kind of putting California aside on the push to fix NMPs and make good graph connections, as I know usaca is in progress.  However, it looks like almost every legitimate (non-FP) NMP is related to usaush routes.  I'm not sure the status of those or who's taking care of them, but my plan is to align points on the usaush routes with usai/usaus/usaca points, where appropriate, within the next few days.

I agree that usaush needs to be synched with the systems I maintain in California (usaca, usai, usaib, usaus, usausb, and a little of usasf and usaif). When usaush was drafted, Si synched it to those other systems as they then existed. However, I was in the middle of overhauling the other systems in California, which ultimately threw usaush out of synch. Your fixing the NMPs involving usaush would really help.

I've made some spot edits to usaush files in California, such as to make conforming changes where a usaca route is concurrent with part of a historic route (like CA 14U, which overlaps part of US 6 Historic).

Looking through some now, more are FPs than I thought, just keeping the historic road on the frontage road or whatever nearby road.

One that needs some investigation is the south end of ca.ca099busmad, which has a point labeled CA99(153A) that almost lines up with CA99's 152, and it looks like CA99's 153A might not have any ramps associated with it (does it exist?).

Looks like a misbehaving parclo that didn't get 1PPI, due to different exit numbers in each direction?

Linking the commit for the NMP work I completed today in CA: https://github.com/TravelMapping/HighwayData/commit/07d134bf012896af5386cb83198f9d3987943e50

A couple more fixes, and marked FPs: https://github.com/TravelMapping/HighwayData/commit/81cbfa9d5ca671fd8ae91649cced9626d2655f85

After the next update, only the CA 99 152 and 153A situation mentioned should remain as an unmarked NMP.
