Title: TX: TXLp255 not in browser
Post by: ua747sp on November 26, 2020, 12:08:06 am
I was doing some driving in Camp County and came across Texas State Highway Loop 255. It is not completed, but it legislatively exists and is signed for a short distance. I drove it today, and the highway is indeed signed the short distance from CR2118 to US271 in both directions.

Minute order creating Loop 255:

Can share photo of signage if needed.

A redesignation of FM3535.
Older shapefiles that had FM3535 in them had the end at the RxR. Newer ones show TXLp255, ending at the west end of that wide driveway entrance just east of there.
Looking at imagery for a pavement change, the striping stops at the RxR. Very clear in Google. I'll go with that, and move the FM3535 file over to usatxl unchanged.

Thanks. If it's any help, I can report that the striping ended & the road narrowed significantly at the RR x-ing. The first eastbound sign for Loop 255 was just east of the driveway you mention.

Do you remember a "State Maintenance Ends" sign?
