Title: CA: CA 132 relocation in Modesto
Post by: oscar on September 21, 2022, 11:37:07 pm
usaca was activated about an hour ago. Significant changes to that system will now be discussed here in Updates to Highway Data, followed by entries in the Highway Data Updates table (https://travelmapping.net/devel/updates.php#updates).

Last Thursday, a new section of CA 132 in Modesto was opened to traffic. The new road is about three miles long, north of CA 132's old Maze Blvd. alignment. The new road includes connections to Maze Blvd. via Dakota Ave. and ramps parallel to (but not part of) CA 99.

BTW, the new segment's west end (for now -- plans are to extend it westward, ultimately to I-580) is at Dakota Ave. Online maps call it "North Dakota Avenue" north of Maze Blvd., with "South Dakota Avenue" south of Maze. But local press coverage describes both as parts of Dakota Ave., so apparently they weren't named for those states.
