I never added PA 48 TRUCK because it was supposed to be for a weight-restricted bridge that is now not weight-restricted.  District 11 never removed the signs for some reason.

I will look into the point requests in a bit.

PA 48 Point Request:  There is already a point at BroDr next to Lovedale Rd.  I suggest that you use that one.

Finally through with my 1,675-mile trip updates from this weekend. I didn't see on the TM map PA 48 Truck near Elizabeth and McKeesport. I did a search on here but found nothing about it so I don't know if it was discussed in the past. Signage seems to have been on GSV since at least 2022 and can confirm signs are still present as of this weekend.

It basically bypasses the whole southern half of PA 48. The northbound travel direction starts at the southern terminus of PA 48, goes north on PA 51, exits at the Elizabeth exit (south of the bridge), heads along the east shore of the Monongahela to the Clairton-Glassport Bridge, north on PA 837, crosses the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge, heads south on PA 148, runs fully concurrent with PA 148 Truck, and returns to PA 148 southbound to end at PA 48.

General map of the route, the highlighted portions are the only new part not already in TM. Specifically I'd like to request a point at Lovedale Road NE of Elizabeth (40.27884, -79.87533) as I turned off there and was the recommended direction for the bonus post-SWPA25 meet itinerary.


I'd also like to request a point on US19TrkPit at Cape May Avenue in Pittsburgh (40.40844, -80.01775; within the WenAve <-> PA51_S segment) as I used that turnoff to see the steepest street in the US.

It's not like we're a navigational tool so it's not worth going to too much trouble to find exactly the right time.  I wouldn't get too worried about either making the switch before all the signs have caught up or letting it linger as I-515 a bit longer.

^ In that case, when NDOT stops publicly referring to I-515 and signs are majority I-11 (sounds like we'll hit the latter soon) would seem to be a good time for the switch.

I think that the Lewis and Clark Trail in Pierre now has a broken concurrency resulting from the new points on US 14 TRUCK/US 83 TRUCK/SD 34.

One thing to note is that 11 is partly a renumbering. We do include signed but unofficial Interstates (695 over the Key Collapse, 895 south of 695, 80 west of 101), so we would still need to keep 515 until we determine enough signs have changed that it's gone.

And this is why I haven't yet pushed the update. "Does 515 still exist?" is a real question. How many cases of something like this have we had in the history of TM? I'm fine holding off on pulling the trigger because we're not adding any mileage, just changing a number and extending an overlay. I could also do the intermediate step of extending 11 but keeping 515 because 11 now has multiple tangible signs of extending beyond AASHTO approvals and 1 interchange.

On the NDOT side, nearly everything internal has made the switch, though there are still public-facing items that refer to I-515. Signs, from what I can tell on the forum, are nearing 50-50.
