To make this even funner, I just found a similar example to US 64 in AR with the southern end of US 35.

We could justify creating a US 35 Spur from southern terminus at I-64 to CR 33.  (GSV shows it as plain US 35.) (Putnam County Sheet 2 shows as US 35 Spur.)

Because its not US 35 (south of I-64).
There is an 'End US 35' sign assembly along US 35 before the ramps to I-64.
I'd find 'US 35 Spur' comparable to the 'US 36 connector' east of Mt. Vernon.
