Title: NV: NV439, NV880, NV894 add
Post by: vespertine on May 09, 2017, 06:34:42 pm
More stuff from out west to (possibly) add:

NV439 is a relatively new highway designation. There are BEGIN (https://goo.gl/maps/CqeHSXGuGyv) and END (https://goo.gl/maps/UbrjFy1Qg5G2) signs at I-80 (exit 32), and it extends 6.25 miles to the end of pavement (https://goo.gl/maps/M4XYh7zEnaH2), according to NDOT (page 192 for map) (https://www.nevadadot.com/home/showdocument?id=4438).

These next two are signed, but barely; apologies if these were already discussed and agreed to be nixed when Nevada highways were added way back when. NV880 starts on Wedekind Rd at Malapi Way, goes east and uses Farr Ln and Queen Way to end at NV445. It has one ancient sign (https://goo.gl/maps/aNgY9Xw8XFC2) EB at the western terminus. NV894 begins at US93 south of JCT US6/50 and ends in the middle of nowhere, er, Shoshone, 16.6 miles down the road. I'm not sure if this counts for inclusion, as the only signage I see is junction signage (https://goo.gl/maps/xBNWtmVKwuR2) on US93 for it, but figured I'd include it for thoroughness.

Hope this helps.

Updates from the field on two of these:

NV880: Not only still signed, but the old sign must've been replaced fairly recently with a new one. Still in the same spot, still the only one along the route.

NV439: Signed well from I-80, and along the route. I clinched the first 6 miles up to where I previously specified, but it looks as though NDOT is building this route to connect with US50 in Silver Springs, and may be opening soon. Here's the NDOT NV439 page (https://www.nevadadot.com/projects-programs/road-projects/usa-parkway) for reference.
