ND: US83 Washburn, ND13 Wahpeton business routes
« on: July 07, 2022, 07:07:59 pm »
While in Wahpeton, saw these two signs (1) (2) for a ND13 Business. Unfortunately, these are the ONLY two signs there are for it; nothing from ND13 WB, nothing from ND127, nothing on 79 1/2 St ie 4th Ave S. While it'd be easy to assume what the routing is (center striping ends at ND127), I'm not sure if that's enough for inclusion.

And this reminded of another business route I saw some years ago that I can't remember if I mentioned in this or the CHM forum or not. There is one lone shield for a US83 Business in Washburn on ND200Alt. I traveled it back then, no other signs anywhere on the route or on US83. Again, routing would be simple to assume (Main St thru town), but does that make it enough to include?

So for the ND 13 route, there's probably no signage at the other end because it's not really a business route, as it just cuts through a mile and a half of farmland with few businesses. It is, however, on the official ND mileage map: https://www.dot.nd.gov/docs/maps/state/2015CDRS_Combined.pdf As such, I'm planning on adding this one in, probably as a Business Spur (most likely option, given that it's signed as "BUSINESS" but there's no signage at the eastern end).

The US 83 one I'm a little more hesitant on, given that the signage isn't from mainline 83 but ND 200A, so it would be hard for someone to find. It also doesn't show up on the mileage map, whereas every other bannered route we have from ND either does or is very well signed.
