GA: GA 32 TRUCK (Leesburg)
« on: September 21, 2022, 08:50:13 am »
Should this route be added to the HB?

Its east end just says "TRUCK ROUTE", but latest GSV shows GA 32 shields in other areas along the route where it turns and at its western end.

I can't find the official route log, but some conflicting data.  GDOT just published (March 2022) a revised county map for Lee County and Leesburg that does not show this new route.

https://www.dot.ga.gov/DriveSmart/MapsData/Documents/CityMaps/Leesburg_LeeCounty.pdf

However, the traffic counts page does have an official counter along the route on Lovers Lane Rd., though I can't tell the route number.

 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I would not say that it is new.  One of the GSV links goes straight to a 2012 image.

This route is still posted as of my field check on March 12, 2023.  Even if it is not added, I could still use the point on GA 32 at Lovers Lane Rd as I drove on GA 32 WB back to Leesburg from there.

I'll add the route, since it's at least somewhat signed. It's better signed at the south (west) end than the east end. As far as I could tell, the east end only has a sign saying "Truck Route". Both the turn and the west end have Truck Route (GA 32) signs (though, per GMSV, the ones at the turn say GA 32 Conn).

Point added to GA 32, as well.
