Second review of expressways E40 thru E49

E41
a) Current waypoint 1(THE) should be named E1.
b) Add exit 1(THE) where E41 connects to P14.
    1(THE) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=35.281225&lon=136.781150

E42Wak
a) The waypoint order for E42Wak is opposite to that for the other E42 units.  E42, E42Kum, and E42Shi are clockwise, while E42Wak is counterclockwise.  The expressway numbering doc lists the E42Wak end last, so I would flip the waypoint order for E42Wak.

E44
a) Consider using N44_Onn (Onnetou IC) and N44_Nem (Nemuro IC) instead of N44_W and N44_E.

E45
a) N45_N could be named N45_TaM (from Tanohata Minami IC).  (There is no corresponding N45_S.)

E46
a) Waypoint 1-1(Aki) is not an exit. it goes to a service area.
b) Consider flipping the order of the waypoints. The Akita end is listed last in the numbering document’s definition of roads making up E46.

E48
a) Add exit 7-1(Yam) and remove the shaping point just to its west.
    7-1(Yam) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=38.366720&lon=140.259452
b) E48 does not exist between waypoints 9(Yam) and 10(Yam).  E48 should end at 9(Yam).

E48Tsu - new segment
a) Add route E48Tsu (from Tsuruoka), starting at 10(Yam) of the current E48.

E49
a) Add exit 2-1 and remove the shaping point just north of it.
    2-1 http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=37.370558&lon=140.603902
b) Rename waypoint 14 to E7/E8.  This is junction 42, not exit 14.
c) Add exit 14.  It is 0.8 km N of the junction, just S of the bridge.
    14 http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=37.878182&lon=139.037148

Second review of expressways E20 thru E39

E27
a) Waypoint E2 should be named E2A.

E28
a) There is no waypoint for Exit 4-1.  I assume you decided 4-1 is part of 4.

E29
a) E29 does not exist between current waypoints 3-1 and 3-2.  The route should be split into two parts.
This yellow sign says that the next 2km is a general national highway
    https://www.google.com/maps/@35.2195311,134.3230236,3a,90y,122.7h,97.35t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1senVDOjWipl8y2nEW-LkgYQ!2e0!7i16384!8i8192
b) Waypoint 3-1 should be named N373_Sak (from Sakane intersection).  On GSV I did not find any signs using 3-1 or 3-2.
c) Waypoint 3-2 should be named N373_Kom (from Komagaeri intersection).

E30
a) On GSV and on the expwy wiki page, waypoints 3-1, 3-2, and 3-3 do not use exit numbers.
Exit 3-1 could be named Hit (from Hitsuishijima IC).   Signs say “islanders only”.
Exit 3-2 could be named Iwa (from Iwakurojima IC).  Signs say “islanders only”.
Exit 3-3 could be named Yos (from Yoshima IC).  Access to the parking area is allowed.

E31
a) Add exit 1.
    1 http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=34.360334&lon=132.497227
GSV of the little green sign in the median at the point where the Hiroshima-Kure Road (E31) starts - this is exit 1:
    https://www.google.com/maps/@34.3600398,132.4972703,3a,47.4y,217.05h,84.14t/data=!3m9!1e1!3m7!1sJOyj5fbDAkmki0xPKCSNhQ!2e0!7i16384!8i8192!9m2!1b1!2i26

E34
a) The N3 and N34 waypoints could be named 1(Nag) and 1a(Nag), or N34 could be eliminated and N3 renamed as 1(Nag).  GSV shows that exit 1 goes to N3.  N34 only connects to E34 via shared on-ramps with N3 that meet E34 quite a ways west of N3.
    1 http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=33.393917&lon=130.528629
    1a http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=33.397034&lon=130.517326  - at merge point

E35Fuk
a) There is an on-ramp between FEC and waypoint N202_Jur.  JE stands for Jurokucho Entrance.
    N202_JE http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=33.568495&lon=130.312326
b) Consider renaming N202_W to N202_MH (from Maebara Higashi IC).

Second review of expressways E10 thru E19, plus E78.

E13Mas
a) N13_Masu could be named N13_Nak (from Nakada IC).  Also, datacheck says N13_Masu contains a long underscore.
b) N13_Kaz could be named N13_Noz (from Nozoki IC)
c) What does the Masu of E13Mas derive from?  I couldn’t find a nearby location starting with Masu. This section is mostly in Kaneyama town of Mogami district.  E13Kan or E13Mog might be better names.

E13Yok
a) N13_San could be named N13_Mit (from Mitsuseki IC)
b) N13_Cro could be named N13_Jum (from Juumonji IC)

E14Kis
a) Waypoint N6 should be named N16.

E19
a) E19 is defined as starting at the Nagoya end. The waypoint order should be reversed.

E78
a) New section opens 7/17/2021 at 3PM
    35 http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=31.491609&lon=131.085552
    35-1 http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=31.467517&lon=131.059068

Second review of expressways E1 thru E9

E1
a) Should the name of shaping point +2 be longer?
b) Ham is not an exit. It goes to a service area.

E1A
a) There is a secondary IC to P50 near the Nagoya Minami JCT (exit 5) on the Ise Expwy.
    5a(Ise) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=35.045852&lon=136.952828
b) Add exit 7-1(Ise)
    7-1(Ise) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=35.051785&lon=136.895897
c) Exit 10(Ise) has three parts. The JCT with C2 is 10-1 and there are units of IC 10 on either side of the JCT.  I’m not sure if they warrant being separate entries.
    10(Ise) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=35.051843&lon=136.824905
    10-1(Ise) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=35.051851&lon=136.817765
    10a(Ise) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=35.051858&lon=136.807550

E2
a) Waypoint Sab is not an exit. It goes to a service area.

E2Ube
a) Possibly add the Yamaguchi-Ube and Ogoori Roads to E2Ube, connecting Yamaguchi Minami IC on E2 with Ube Higashi IC on E2Ube.

GSV 2020 image on N2 heading east at the Kagawa exit of the Yamaguchi-Ube Road shows that the Yamaguchi-Ube Road heading south from this junction is considered to be part of E2.  (I have not found similar images for the Ogoori Road.)
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.0551212,131.3495432,3a,56.2y,86.89h,102.23t/data=!3m10!1e1!3m8!1sImTSd11vZ0DH-XzBivF3yg!2e0!5s20201101T000000!7i16384!8i8192!9m2!1b1!2i44

2019 Picture at 500m to Ube JCT (next to last photo) on E2Ube shows the Yamaguchi-Ube Road is part of E2.  (GSV is 2018 and has an older sign that does not say E2.)   http://fuwafuwaame.sakura.ne.jp/road/EXP/A/sanyo-exp/up/p1'/p1'.html

Webpage discussing the routing of E2 in Yamaguchi.
http://fuwafuwaame.sakura.ne.jp/road/EXP/A/sanyo-exp/shin-yamaguchi-ube.html

E2a
a) Move waypoint 1 to
    1 http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=34.807419&lon=135.534993
b) Move waypoint 2a to
    2a http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=34.804151&lon=135.433354

E5Toy
a) To better differentiate it from other N40 waypoints on E5, waypoint N40 could be renamed to N40_Toy (from Toyotomi Kita IC)

E5a
a) According to the expressway road numbering document, the start of E5A is in Kuromatsunai and the end is in Sapporo.  Consider reversing the order of the waypoints. (From what I could gather, E5A is decades from ever being finished, so maybe keeping the existing ascending exit ordering would be better.)
b) Maybe use E5_N for the first waypoint in E5A and E5_S for the last waypoint in E5AKur

E5aKur
a) According to the expressway road numbering document, the start of E5A is in Kuromatsunai and the end is in Sapporo.  Reverse the order of the waypoints if you also do so for E5A.
b) Maybe use E5_N for the first waypoint in E5A and E5_S for the last waypoint in E5AKur
c) Waypoint N5 should be named N5_Kur.  If ever completed, E5A will intersect N5 many times, so a more specific name is probably better.

E6
a) Waypoint 10-1 should be named 10-1(Job)
b) Add exit 19-1(Job)
    19-1(Job) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=37.283083&lon=140.981351
c) Add exits 20-1(Job) and 20-2(Job)
    20-1(Job) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=37.411295&lon=140.962223
    20-2(Job) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=37.458253&lon=140.962408

E8Ham
a) P330 could be renamed N9_Got (from Goutsu IC).  N9 is the continuing road; P330 is a minor connector.
b) N9_Kas could be renamed to N9_Har (from Harai IC)
c) N9_Mih could be renamed to N9_Mis (from Misumi).  Miho is not mentioned on signs, Misumi is.

E9
a) Waypoint 17(KJE) should be moved to a position between the north and south parts of the exit.
    17(KJE) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=34.914986&lon=135.686768
b) The northern part of exit 13(KJE) is half a km from the current waypoint which is at the southern part of the exit.  Maybe add a new waypoint 13a(KJE)?
    13a(KJE) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=35.013127&lon=135.557524

E9Hig
a) Consider renaming N178_E to N178_Igu (from Igumi IC).
b) Consider renaming N178_W to N178_Hig (from Higashihama IC)

E9Mat
a) Rename waypoint 17(SIE) to 16a(SIE).  On GSV, the junction is signed as exit 16.
b) Add exit 17(SIE).
    17(SIE) http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=35.422451&lon=133.379868

Second review of the circular expressways.   All national expressways have now been reviewed twice.

C2Hon
a) The first waypoint should be named 5-1, not 5.

C4Mob
a) C4Mob begins at waypoint 93. The road to N126 is not part of C4.

And a concurrency check on AH1

Concurrencies
a) AH1 should show a concurrency with FE4 in Fukuoka between FE1 and N201
b) AH1 should show a concurrency with SE3 in Tokyo between 307 and SEC2
c) AH1 should show a concurrency with SEC1 in Tokyo between SE3 and SE4
d) AH1 should show a concurrency with SEC1 in Tokyo between SEY and SE6

Finding a bunch of weird waypoint names with a shell script led me here...

E71
a) Switch the names of waypoints 3 and 4.  Exit 3 is the junction with HE4.  Exit 4 connects P63/Train station to E71.
Yup. Sure enough, the EB exits are signed out of order.
The repositioning of Exit 4 caught my eye. I was almost going to suggest folding 4 into 3, One-Point-Per-Interchange ("1PPI"), but...
Initially, it looks like the new point position is where an elevated roadway touches down onto a surface road -- see how that darksalmon-colored roadway with the black outline meets the lightsalmon-colored roadway? Red herring more like; this looks like some bizarre OSM fiction. Look at Google/GMSV and you'll just see single roadways.
The first intersection as the ramp comes down off the viaduct is at P29/63... so moving the point back to its original location would yield a graph connection (with N481 now; assuming the P routes (Prefectual Roads?) will be drafted later). Things do look quite a bit Texas right here. :)
