ColAve>-ColAve_E (and needs a slight recentering)

VA102 realignment?

Recent VDOT info shows it no longer using Stadium Drive, instead reaching the state line on College Avenue. There seems to be no remaining signage showing Stadium Drive.

It is much easier to clinch this way.  In June, I took Stadium Dr to the WV Line just to be sure because I ended up on College Ave via Leatherwood Ln, so thankfully the change (which seems valid) does not affect me.

Does this change anything on the WV side?

No; this is the south end of the multi state route.

Alright.  Just wanted to make sure.

This is interesting.  Just randomly looked at the US-19/VA-102 intersection, and saw this.....

https://goo.gl/maps/JZdSVDoix8SMqfg99

Says that VA-102 turns and joins US-19 now.  This is a change from 2021 imagery.  Then again, they also added 'NO RIGHT TURNS' for big rigs at that intersection too, which could be why the signage change (why they didn't remove the outdated US-460 too at the same time is beyond me).

So.....  I think we should also add a 'GraAve' point to VA-102's file as well as US-19's file due to this change.

Seems to me looking around that VA 102 is unchanged here, and the signage is specifically for the trucks to access VA 102 WB so anything more than a GraAve points on US 19 and VA 102 would be unnecessary.

VA 102's route is unchanged in downtown Bluefield.  VA 102 used to do what is being described here and continued straight across Graham Ave and under the RR.  It was moved to its current straight thru routing between 1984-96 (per historicaerials) when the N-S rail line was removed and the E-W rail line bridge was redone.  There has been a VA 102 posting at Walnut/Graham at least 15 years.

It is confusing what is going on over by Bluefield College.  There had not been a posting for VA 102 to turn left off College Dr to Stadium back at least 15 years, while there was a cutout at the intersection on Stadium that VA 102 was only to the right until about 2013 or so when the intersection was rebuilt.  No posting was re-installed. There was 1 VA 102 posting on Stadium shortly after crossing into Virginia.

County maps going back a long time do not show Stadium Dr as VA 102.

WV actually signs Stadium Dr as TO TRUCK US 460 from Cherry Av, but there are no further US 460 postings on Stadium Dr anywhere in either state.  Since I know the arcgis does have errors, I don't know the true status.  Postings at College/ Stadium showing VA 102 in both directions would be the only surefire way to know.

Yeah, I do not remember seeing either when clinching VA 102 back in June.

Merged both VA 102 topics because any changes are dependent on whether VA 102 is realigned or not.

One other VA 102 comment:

Consider replacing the shaping point west of US 19 with a visible point.
