ABORTING due to 3 errors:
1: Abbrev >3 characters in mexf.csv line: [mexf;MEX-COAH;MEX57;;Cañ;Cañada Ancha;mexcoah.mex057can;], Cañ
2: Could not find Route matching root mexcoah.mex057can in system mexf.
3: No roots in mexf_con.csv line [mexf;MEX57;;Saltillo - Santa Cruz, COAH;mexcoah.mex057can]
[/size]
The ñ appears to be a (unicode, UTF-whatever, etc.) multi-byte character. The database barfs on it, and so does the HB.
Since Region + " " + Route + Banner + Abbrev concatenated together = our .list name, we need to stick with standard Latin characters all users can easily type into a .list.

Cañ -> Can

I messed up the HB link above. Should be
travelmapping.net/hb/?r=mexcoah.mex057can .
This .list name still appears mangled though.

Probably because I haven't done a pull request since then. Tonight should add more routes and this fix.

Yes. I was mostly referring to how the HB in the initial link looked as mangled as it did due to my error in producing said link.

I think that the tier should be changed from 2 to 3 or 4*.
mexsf and mexed should be tier 2. Freeways and expressways are higher categories.

* Does the international naca system also cover Mexico? If so, mexf should be tier 4, and the state route systems tier 5. If not, tier 3 is fine.

I numbered it the same as usaus.

I agree with keeping it as-is.  Not every country needs to follow the Euro model.

Mexico Federal == US Routes.
It's the expressways (Mexico D) that equal tier 1.  State routes are lower tier (4) - and should be whether freeway or not.
Completed:
* Systems: DC, WI
* by US State: AR: I&; AZ: I; DE: I; DC: I, US, DC; IL: I; IN: I*; IA: I, KS: I; MD: I, MA: I, MI: I; MN: I; MO: I*; NE: I; NJ, I; OH: I; RI: I; SD: I; WA: I; WV: I; WI: I,US,WI; (AR, IN pending expansions.)

yep, that's why I think they should be tier 2. That USA + CAN don't have such a expressway system doesn't mean that other countries don't have it.

No - disagree - Mexico D is freeway (Tolled) and are equivalent to a motorway in Europe or Interstate/ON 400/QC Autoroute in USA/CAN in the scheme.  Mexico is behind USA and CAN like much of Eastern Europe is behind its western counterparts.

North America != Europe.
