Title: WI: WI-145 label issues
Post by: rickmastfan67 on October 15, 2022, 06:55:46 am
48A(41) -> I-41(48A)
48B(41) -> I-41(48B)
60(41) -> I-41(60)

Not a multiplex, needs to revert to the normal standard here.

=

On another note, shouldn't '48A(41)' have a graph connection with the 4 other routes there (I-41, US-41, US-45, WI-100)?  There's already a shaping point on WI-145 between the two I-41 Exit 48's to prevent a possible multiplex.  However, it's those 4 routes that will need to have the '48A' point updated, as WI-145's is already in the correct place.

I switched the exit numbering style on WI 145 because of the freeway segment just to the southeast of I-41 (formerly part of the US route). Is this just one of those situations where we need to mix styles because of the shift to putting exit numbers on routes that aren't all freeway?

As for the "graph connection", I specifically put the point on I-41 away from WI 145 because of the non-multiplex issue. The point is closer to where the only two ramps (SB off and NB on) meet the mainline.

I would think so on the mismatch of styles, as the way it's setup currently IMO suggests to people that there's a multiplex going on here, when there is clearly not.  Especially since this isn't an exit number seen from WI-145 itself.

As for the "graph connection", I specifically put the point on I-41 away from WI 145 because of the non-multiplex issue. The point is closer to where the only two ramps (SB off and NB on) meet the mainline.

I think a graph connection would still be preferred in this case, as it's not like a toll interchange where there's a possible connector road connecting the two.  WI-145 clearly goes under I-41 & the ramps directly connect, thus, IMO, 100% needing of the graph connection, aka defaulting to the overpass of the two routes.  Especially since WI-145 already has a shaping point between those two I-41 exits there, "+X01" in the file, to prevent a possible multiplex with I-41 (and friends).

This should be cleared up now, right?
