This project has been completed. (http://www.virginiadot.org/projects/staunton/warren_county_8211_qri_quadrant_roadway_intersection_-_route_340-522_and_route_55.asp) All traffic intending to follow VA 55 must use the Quadrant Road.
The point for Strasburg Rd should stay for US 340/US 522 as right turns are allowed onto Strasburg Rd (SB to access VA 55 WB) in both directions and from Strasburg Rd WB to US 340/US 522 NB.
-
Or for simplicity, leave it as is since the quadrant road is effectively a ramp...albeit a ramp used by the VA 55 through movements.
-
Agree with froggie. There's a precedent for keeping it simple at the intersection (https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=16/39.3231/-84.5055)of OH 4 & OH 4 Bypass.
-
I was thinking about VA 32 (http://travelmapping.net/hb/index.php?units=miles&u=markkos1992&r=va.va032) in this scenario. The difference between this and mapcat's example is that I would not consider OH 4 or OH 4 Bypass as on the Quadrant Route unlike VA 55 or VA 32.
-
I also think it should stay as-is. Marking solved (could be opened again if anyone thinks it should stay unsolved).
-
Being a contributor now and lining up points when possible, I definitely now agree that this is good to stay as-is.
-
Also in favor of keeping as is.
If there were a grade separation, I might think differently, but there's not. :)
