Title: KY: imminent changes to 8 and 1998

First off, points KY9 and US27_S are no longer on KY 8; it has been rerouted on 3rd Street. KY 9 temporarily has a hanging end at 4th Street according to http://maps.kytc.ky.gov/photolog/?config=GeneralHighway until the realignment on Lowell Street is done.

8 will turn south at US27_N (which will keep its name) and overlap US 27 and KY 1998 to the KY1998 point. KY 1998 will presumably be cut back to US27. Apparently a stub KY 8 Business is being created from US 27_N to the east end of 4th Avenue in Dayton (where it turns south and becomes Mary Ingles Highway), and the rest of KY 8 to KY1998 will be KY 6335 (potentially unsigned).

From the AAroads post it seems that KY 8's new route along 27 & former 1998 isn't posted in the field yet. I might have a chance to go down there within the next month, but if anyone notices that the shift has happened, please update this post.

I'll take care of the part along 3rd St. When I was there in June I saw the work proceeding but didn't know if they were done yet.

Got to ride the roller coaster of KY 8 today (as well as its new route) and found the new signs still bagged, but since I have no plans of returning to the area anytime soon I will make the changes now (it was possible to see the numbers through the bags).

KY8: reroute via US 27 & former KY 1998
KY8BusBel: new route
KY445: extended south along former KY 8 to former KY 1998/new KY 8
KY1998: truncated to US27
KY6335: new route

KY9's new route is not open yet, but from what I can tell it's been constructed.
