The NC 44 freeway has been extended both east and west to US 70. The bypass is signed US 70 Bypass. US 70 still runs through the north side of Goldsboro on the old US 70 bypass. There are still some NC 44 signs, but the designation is defunct.
The bypass has a Future Interstate sign with no shield on it. AASHTO has approved I 42 for this corridor. Once FHWA approves the number, NC will request to sign this bypass (along with the Clayton bypass) as I 42 or I 42 Future.

Does anyone know all the exit numbers? I've seen pics of only some of them...

Wikipedia has a list, but not 100% everything is correct. But it's worth taking a look at IMO.

Looks like the file made it onto GitHub, but isn't working on the site since it wasn't included in the 'usausb' system CSV files.
I've submitted the fix for Jim to pull in.

The western two waypoints of the bypass are way off the interchanges in both Google maps and Mapnik.

That's because the OSM data hadn't been updated till the other day (my me) (https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/40135522). The old OSM data is where the 'current' locations were based off of.

Corrections sent in for this...

The eastern half has been properly put into OSM from the 2014 NAIP imagery now. A few locations will need to be updated.
