Title: PA: PA 356 Minor Realignment Between WhiCloRd and FreRd
Post by: Markkos1992 on April 15, 2019, 05:23:31 pm
From 4/15/2019 news release:
The project widens the roadway from two to four lanes throughout most of the project limits, including horizontal realignment in order to reduce the overall horizontal curvature and severity of the grade as the roadway ascends away from the Allegheny River. The tentative completion is in December 2020. The contractor on this $15.4 million project is Plum Contracting, Inc.

The basis of this project is to add truck climbing lanes in the area.  I am noting this due to a planned realignment in this corridor.

This project was completed by December 2020. (https://www.southstrabane.com/sites/g/files/vyhlif1236/f/news/district_12_progress_report_january_2021.pdf)  A *OldPA356 point was added to account for the horizontal realignment that ends around the existing RivLanDr point.
