Title: OH: Alt Ohio 8?

Saw signs for South Alt 8 at Oh 303, today. Appears to follow Old Ohio 8 south. I didn't go south to investigate, so I don't know if they are just left behind from an old road project, or some community (or Summit County) wishful thinking.

Thanks for the report. I'm not sure which roads in the area are Old SR 8, but ODOT maps don't show anything official on any roads near there. Maybe it's the equivalent of the Alt I-70 signs for bypassing incidents?

I clinched OH 8 yesterday morning before the Cleveland Meet and saw signs directing traffic to an OH 8 ALT.  I presume they are there for bypassing incidents and/or for detours due to the ongoing construction on OH 8.
