The former intersection has been closed, and KY-338 has been slightly realigned to the south of the former location to a brand new grade separated interchange.
You can see the new interchange in the following video:
(skip to 16:47 (https://youtu.be/mrjViBlcmJI?si=LhVACd5OIDxFHOZB&t=1006) to watch NB drivethru of the new interchange)
The center point of the new interchange is about '38.918378, -84.623904', and you can see the early stages of construction in the 'Esri WorldImagery' imagery in the HB.

I was debating on whether KY 338 was actually extended east slightly when I was here last month. (https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10219164132254662&set=a.10219164370700623)

Given that 338 may have been extended, and there's no imagery there yet (on GMSV or KYTC), I'll set this aside until I have a chance to do some field checking in a few weeks.

Sent off a PM to hbelkins, and he said that KY-338 apparently has been extended.
Apparently it has...

Right, I saw it on the map already. I'd still like to field check signage.

This part wasn't addressed. The point between the two routes is still at the old intersection location.

Oh, right. Probably because OSM, all our imagery layers, and even Google satellite all still show the old alignment, and I neglected to read all the way back to the beginning. Thanks for pointing that out. The old intersection is within the footprint of the new interchange, so IMO it's not newsworthy. https://github.com/TravelMapping/HighwayData/pull/7008

Just for fun, GSV has been there, and shows KY-338 signage (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Sx7DR1D1xdWvn8Jz5) @ Shorland Drive. So, extension confirmed. lol.
