Yep, it's true. The western part of the new 2x2 road does not have motorway signs. There are brandnew blue signs indicating I8/E80 on the expressway section right after the border.

Effectively, this undoes some changes I made in April (and thus was easier than I thought to do as I had the point at the transition already).
