Title: Obscure? waypoints editor feature request

I often find myself subtracting coordinates at the endpoints to determine whether a diagonalish route is more north-south or east-west (so I know which suffixes to use on duplicate intersections). Would it be possible to have the waypoints editor calculate this (preferably with the actual formula and not my approximation which only works exactly at the equator)?
