Title: QC: QC 339 rerouted in L'Assomption
Post by: LilianaUwU on August 06, 2024, 10:07:34 pm
Seems like QC 339 was rerouted slightly to the west, at an extension of Boulevard Hector-Papin. The new end is at 45.8214550, -73.4326658 and the old road has been dead ended on both ends.

GMSV of the area (https://www.google.com/maps/@45.8218002,-73.4319957,3a,75y,238.01h,90t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sMdTLHG1XDLUI8lNDUujxNg!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D0%26panoid%3DMdTLHG1XDLUI8lNDUujxNg%26yaw%3D238.00714702396104!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205410&entry=ttu)

Nuts they decided to put up 'STOP' signs for the new right/left turn. (https://maps.app.goo.gl/5e7VyVZJZ9CDmkLA9)  Kinda stupid IMO, unless they really think people don't pay that much attention to new alignments.

I mean I could see it if it was a really sharp turn and they didn't want people to take the corner too fast (like here (https://www.google.com/maps/@43.500439,-96.5910892,3a,72.2y,289.39h,83.47t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sw6xscHRXYu-WhHoTL8qPXg!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D6.533913419541037%26panoid%3Dw6xscHRXYu-WhHoTL8qPXg%26yaw%3D289.3894887256378!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205410&entry=ttu) on the SD/IA border where they added stop signs in 2023), but it doesn't seem that sharp to me.
