Title: VA: VA-43 'northern' end along Peaks Rd
Post by: rickmastfan67 on August 16, 2024, 09:05:24 pm
Why do we have it ending @ 37.440289°, -79.592278° (https://travelmapping.net/hb/showroute.php?r=va.va043&lat=37.444455&lon=-79.602202&zoom=16), when it's clearly signed all the way up to the Blue Ridge Parkway?

I can live with the split of the route and not having it on the Blue Ridge Parkway between the two parts, but with the GSV images above, that clearly shows that VDOT considers it to get up to it, and that section isn't just 'Peaks Road (https://travelmapping.net/hb/showroute.php?r=va.peard)'.

Was the idea to make VA 43 concurrent with Peaks Rd or to just remove Peaks Rd altogether from usanp?  (Secondly, VA 43 should have had an updates entry.)
