Drove through Berkeley Springs today. The new road is being posted as US 522 Bypass.
-
Interesting that WV is now embracing the 'Bypass' banner.

I traveled the open part of the bypass earlier today, on a detour from my trip to South Dakota (right now I'm in NW Ohio).
The bypass is now mostly open, from the Fairfax St. interchange north of WV 9, south to a rotary/roundabout on US 522, on the path shown in OSM. "Mostly open" because only the northbound lanes of the bypass are coned off at US 522, but are open north of the at-grade intersection with Sugar Hollow Rd. (first intersection on the bypass north of US 522). I traveled all of the southbound lanes from Fairfax to US 522, and the northbound lanes from Sugar Hollow to Fairfax.
Most of the route markers I saw on or along the bypass north of US 522 were partly or completely covered. But there is a fully uncovered US 522 Bypass sign assembly on the SB bypass at Sugar Hollow.

Added route.

I finally drove the new road today, and the locals definitely seem to know to use Sugar Hollow to get to the bypass northbound. I will leave it to your discretion whether a point should be added to US 522 at CR 38/14 especially since I would think this is a temporary set up.
