Title: usalamlr (CA) - reconfigured LA Metro Light Rail CA C and CA K lines
Post by: M3200 on November 03, 2024, 07:03:35 pm
LA Metro Rail opened a new station to the public today, 11/3/24, at Aviation/Century. The C line now turns north just west of the Aviation/LAX stop and continues to Aviation/Century.  Meanwhile, most of the former C line west of Aviation/LAX is now designated as part of the K Line.  K Line trains travel north from Redondo Beach, and no longer pass through the Aviation/LAX station. Instead, they turn on the wye and continue north to Aviation/Century.   A "bus bridge" connects the two isolated K Line segments.  The south leg of the wye west of Aviation/LAX will no longer be used by scheduled trains.

An "authoritative source" is Metro's website, at https://www.metro.net.  I rode over the new segment today and can vouch that the new trains are up and running!

You got an extra ElS in the csv, making it CA KElSElS (https://tmrail.teresco.org/hb/showroute.php?r=ca.kels).
