Since we use the 'official' route of I-787 to I-90 in I-787, we honestly should have some extra points in the area in case people follow the 'free', but posted (https://maps.app.goo.gl/qbZMUdN6PtZpgSpg9) section of I-787 that 'ends' @ US-9W.
So, I recommend the following points be added:
US-9W: @ Hoffman Ave/I-787(signed)
I-787: 'new' 1A point where the 'official' route leaves the 'posted' route. Especially since people going SB on I-787 can't access that interchange with US-9W, but have to 'loop' around, and thus lose mileage on US-9W they should be able to claim.

I concur with this proposal

Denied. 1PPI.
That both the existing and added points would have the same labels if not for fudging in imaginary suffixes like we do is revealing.
Distance of 0.21 & 0.25 mi from existing points, well under the 0.5 threshold.

I highly disagree that this is a 1PPI here, and I'm betting almost everybody else would agree.
We're technically giving 'false' mileage to people who don't want to take the NYST 'ramps' from I-787 to I-87.
Distance of 0.21 & 0.25 mi from existing points, well under the 0.5 threshold.
Wouldn't matter if we were putting I-787 to it's 'SIGNED' end (instead of the FHWA route), as you'd have that 'proposed' 1A point as the connection to I-87 and also have that point @ Hoffman Ave. And you'd still include the the 'current' I-787 point in US-9W's file as 'I-87(23)'.
For US-9W, you could just call the point as 'HofAve' and avoid mentioning I-787.
As for the label on I-787, 1A can't be helped sadly, since it is posted as 'Exit 1 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/CgjfbDZRMN8wdyZ86)'. Also, the 'ramp' leaves @ the 0.4MM (but it's really 0.6 miles from that point to 'HofAve'). Overpass is @ 0.3MM. Looping around is ~0.9 miles to complete the movement that's 'missing' from the posted 0.4MM to center point of the other 'Exit 1' ramps.
IMHO, there's a lot going for them to override any possible 1PPI here.
