Title: TX: I-37 southern end ???
Post by: rickmastfan67 on June 29, 2025, 05:29:58 am
Do we have another situation for I-37's southern end like I-35 where it officially goes beyond the freeway part?

All the streetblades beyond the 'old' US-181/TX-35 interchange ramps at the end of the freeway reference it as 'IH-37' all the way to the coast line @ Shoreline Blvd.

The statewide planning map (https://www.dot.state.tx.us/apps/statewide_mapping/StatewidePlanningMap.html) shows I-37's section ending where Carrizo Street would cross (the gore for the terminal interchange). We'll see if anything changes when US 181 moves.

FHWA (https://hepgis-usdot.hub.arcgis.com/pages/national-highway-system) concurs with the exact location; the continuation is NHS but not Interstate.
