It was signed like that 20 years ago when I was attending LSU.

I think this was old LA 987-3 Spur, which was deleted some years ago.  The continued signage is probably just an LA DOTD screw-up.  If it were consistently signed, I wouldn't object to adding it, but there are no signs on the road itself, so it's not clear what the actual route would be.
