Title: VA: US-250 extended????
Post by: rickmastfan67 on August 16, 2025, 04:13:17 am
Just noticed the following two posts on AARoads of both END & BEGIN shields for US-250 in Richmond @ the intersection of Broad/23rd, which is beyond US-360.
END (https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=19668.msg2994412#msg2994412)
BEGIN (https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=19702.msg2994413#msg2994413)

These are new installs since the last GSV was there in July 2023 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/J8bbMdfFidwbdJVs7).

This is now explicitly signed as beginning and ending at 23rd Street (I confirmed today).

US 250 was truncated to US 360 by the CTB in 2003.  These new postings are there because a roadgeek inadvertently requested they be placed there as part of a larger campaign to get some primary routes better posted throughout Virginia.

It is highly unlikely the designation was re-extended.

Going no-build here...

But the official GIS still shows it going to 23rd...

I'm with mapmikey on this one.  I think the GIS is in error.
