US51 does not appear to follow I-20 between I-20(45) and I-55FroRd.
Rather it appears to follow State Street between those points.

MDOT moved US 51 off of State St in the 1970s. They finally started pulling old US 51 signs off the section around I-20 a decade ago, but they still have a couple of stragglers left. They've never been in a hurry to take the last couple of signs down.
