Title: VA VA305 point request
Post by: neroute2 on September 10, 2025, 09:30:16 am
When I drove SR 305, it was after 5 pm, so the gate here (https://www.google.com/maps/@38.6605776,-78.6688329,3a,29.9y,33.25h,85.82t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s8D6Vz_2z0P-8PP7wexBoyQ!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fcb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26pitch%3D4.18196156411544%26panoid%3D8D6Vz_2z0P-8PP7wexBoyQ%26yaw%3D33.24793353306062!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDkwNy4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D) was closed. Is there any chance I could get a point there? Thanks.

When I clinched it on a Sunday, I was close enough to see the end, counted it clinched, and moved on.

Gates generally deserve points, but not so close to the end of a route IMO.

Agreed.

However, are we sure it even goes beyond the gate in the first place?  That address number on the gate & the mailbox makes me think it might not.

LRS Route Master says yes. (https://vdot.maps.arcgis.com/apps/mapviewer/index.html?layers=f0fab44361e342298880d1d848a4e720)
